Description: Evergreens are available year round from many different sources. These greens can be used to add fullness and texture to any arrangement. They are especially popular in the winter holidays but are commonly used at other times as well. Contrary to common belief, healthy evergreens do not produce enough ethylene gas to harm flowers and can be stored with you flowers but should fungus grow, these greens could become harmful.

How to care for your greens:

• Be sure to loosen any bundles and give the greens plenty of room to "breathe."
• Place the greens in a cooler, preferably in a moist environment.
• Good air circulation will keep the greens fresh and is necessary
• Store the greens at 32 to 35 degrees with at least 85 percent humidity to keep their freshness
• Spray greens when using them in arrangements to keep their freshness
