Description: Freesias are available in many different varients. Many colors are available and they can come in single or double petal varieties. Freesias can be fragrant and can also be found in striped varieties. They are available year round and have a lifespan of typically 4 to 8 days.

How to care for your freesia:

• Freesia should arrive with one or two flowers open already, if all the buds are green they will not open properly.
• Treat the freesia with an ethylene inhibitor since they are very susceptive to ethylene gas.
• Be sure that the water you place the freesia in does not contain fluoride. Fluoride is poisonous to freesia and will cut down their vase life
• Cut off the bottom inch off the stems and place them immediately in a flower food and water solution.
• Keep the freesia at room temperature until the buds have reached maturity and then keep them in the cooler at 34 to 36 degrees.
