Description: There are four main types of lilies. They are the asiatic lily, the oriental lily, the LA hybrid, and the Longiflorum. They are available in many colors including white, orange, pink, red with white, and white with pink. Lilies are available year round and typically last between four and eleven days. Some lilies are fragrant and all the different groups have differing characteristics in their blooms.

How to care for you lilies:

• Unpack the lilies as soon as you recieve them.
• Cut at least one inch of the stem off the bottem while holding the cutting point underwater. Using a sharp knife is recommended at a diagonal angle but pruners can also be used.
• Be sure to remove any foliage that may be touching water. Foliage that is exposed to standing water will allow for bacterial growth and will reduce the vase life of the lilies.
• Create a solution of warm water and flower food in a clean container. Within 30 seconds of cutting the stems, place the lilies in the solution. Be sure to use a flower food with no more than 3% sugar and be sure to always follow manufacturers instructions on the flower food.
• Keep the flowers refrigerated, with temperatures between 33 and 35 degrees being ideal for extended life.
