Upon receiving the sunflowers, cut off at least 1.5 inches from the bottom with a sharp knife, at an angle. Place them immediately in a container filled with plenty of water, sunflowers are very thirsty.

To guarantee their long life, continue to cut off at least 1 inch from the bottom every other day, replace the water, and clean the container. Keep the sunflowers out of direct sunlight and they should be long-lived.
